The goal of my project is to create a space where students can keep their busy bodies moving while staying focused on the lesson being taught at our small group reading table. I believe it is very important to provide my students with many opportunities to move while learning in the classroom. We have other flexible seating options in our classroom and we take brain breaks throughout our day, but sometimes we still need more movement in order to make it through our core reading block. Having these seats in our room will help students move without causing a distraction to other students at our table. These seats will not only create an extra break for our busy bodies throughout our core reading block, but will save space around our table. Each student will have enough room to sit comfortably and move as they feel they need to in order to work at their most productive state.
