Flexible seating options are becoming a staple item for most classrooms. I am a first year teacher starting out with almost no supplies, materials, and books. I want to provide my students with comfortable seating options for all my learners, not just the ones who learn sitting and taking notes at a desk. With wiggle seats I will be able to provide an outlet for students who are more active by giving them something that allows them to move, and if students are taught how to use them correctly then these students will be engaged with their work. With lap desks my students will be able to take their work with them to sit in a comfortable area of their choice where they may be less distracted by their peers; therefore, allowing them to be more available for learning. With portable recliner seats students will be able to lean up against something other than a hard wall allowing them to be more comfortable.
