The children will be using their new headphones in a classroom setting. We will use them to supplement our reading and math programs. Our programs focus on phonemic awareness and phonics that need explicit, consistent sound learning and repetition. Our new headphones will enhance our children's reading growth by giving them clear, easy to hear sound quality during their program skill practices. So much of first grade is being able to hear and repeat sounds for word blending and we use the Chromebooks as an augment to our reading groups. Early literacy success will help set the children up for more challenging content skills as they continue their education. We also use the Chromebooks for math practice and there is a lot of verbal reinforcement with our math programs. The sounds that the math games produce are fun and engaging, as they are with our literacy programs.
