Last school year was my first year teaching. I had 15 amazing students in my classroom. Most of my materials, furniture, and carpet in my room are yard sale finds, hand-me-downs, or have been brought from my home. I also did without some organizational things we needed. All of the items and materials worked great for the 15 little learners I had last year. However, this coming year my classroom will be growing by several more students! I am so excited to get the opportunity to teach more students in my "growing" classroom. This means my students will need the items like a larger rug for direct instruction time, an additional bookshelf to help store all of our picture books, mailboxes for them to store their finished work, and storage space for me to put future work and activity materials. This coming year my goal is to have plenty of room for students to sit, a place to store our books, and a place for my students to organize all of their belongings and materials.
