My students love to learn. They have a difficult time sustaining attention and motivation from listening and watching. They are quite willing to try when they can work with their hands, following models and examples. These activities would provide them the excitement of using a multiple modality approach to success. They would be drawing on previous knowledge and skill to strategize and complete the activities. Engaging in tasks such as these will hold the students' interest. The finished products provide the motivation to try more things that aren't on a computer screen or piece of paper.
