In order to keep everyone safe at our school, we have implemented a new recess rotation schedule. Only one classroom is allowed to use each play space at a time. Not all the play areas have large equipment for students to play on. We have two large empty grassy areas that we also use as play spaces. By helping our project you will be giving students portable outdoor gross motor equipment to use in these open grassy areas. Building gross motor skills at this age helps children gain strength and confidence in his or her body. We will be able to get supplies such as balls, hula hoops, cones, bean bags, platform stilts, activity mats, a parachute, and a cart to move supplies from our classroom to the play area.
