As a preschool teacher, I fully understand the importance of young children being able to practice the writing skills they will need to be successful learners. My head-start classroom is a collection of extremely bright students with so much potential, but because they are from low socioeconomic backgrounds, they lack the resources to reach that potential on their own. As teachers in Philadelphia, we have always done our absolute best to help them, but with this current pandemic, we cannot properly reach our students. Many of our students lack the bare minimum, which means some do not even have access to online education. That is why I am asking for these creative supplies. With the use of necessary materials such as: playdough, crayons, markers, books, and pencils, our students will be able to continue to learn at home, as well as still have fun as kids should! Education is a privilege, but it should be a guarantee. We may have lost our classrooms, but learning will always continue. Our goal is to use these supplies to compile a tote that we will personally deliver to our student's homes. It is with your help that we will be able to provide our students with the tools that they need to make this happen.
