Our 4th grade students are tasked with completing ELA, math, and science state testing by the end of the April. This is the first year that they have to demonstrate their science knowledge on testing. Due to their limited exposure to scientific material, it is important that our students can learn using tangibles to make deep connections in an effort to close the gap. Having a variety of hands-on materials will provide students with more effective and engaging learning tasks on their way to becoming future scientists and responsible citizens. Students who access these engaging materials will have fun exploring and making deep connections in order to be successful on state testing. The knowledge gained will also aid in laying groundwork for life-long learning.
