The resources will be used on a daily basis during guided and independent reading. The Reading comprehension journal will be use to develop skills in describing characters, settings and events; identifying the main topic and key details; and analyzing text using evidence. The writing prompt journals will develop skills in opinion/argument writing, informative/explanatory writing and narrative writing. The sight words will help students on a daily basis to master high frequency words.They match and put together fun-filled puzzles covering the most essential sight-word, with each level gradually progressing in difficulty, so students build skills step-by-step. Children just match the color-coded letter pieces to each sight-word to build spelling skills and word recognition.
