The use of LEGO bricks was a common daily activity for my students in the past. I have a bucket of LEGO bricks that were shared with a small group of students at a time. With the current restrictions on sharing supplies in the classroom, my students can no longer share LEGO bricks and other STEM items. I am requesting individual LEGO sets for each student to use during my Social and Emotional Learning Lessons, math problem solving, language arts, science, and STEM/STEAM activities. LEGO sets inspire creativity, communication, and help build literacy in the classroom. This resource would provide many opportunities for my students to express themselves in different academic areas as well as right brain/left brain learning.
