We are now offering college level Arabic curriculum at Pathways High, and we want to ensure that their language skills are transferable to real world scenarios. Simply being proficient in another language is no longer enough to be an effective and competitive professional in the world of language service or international business. Students need to be ready to leverage technology to make the most of their language skills in the classroom and in the working world. To prepare language learners for real-world application of their language skills, we need a specific set of Chromebooks with the capabilities to use different language keyboards and allow them to access foreign language media. We can also set these chromebooks up with access to translation software and other digital tools to help prepare our advanced students for the language service industry. These shared language-ready Chromebooks will give our students the edge when moving from the classroom to the workforce.
