While we are living through an unprecedented experience, that won't stop us from setting high expectations and working even harder to make sure students have the opportunity to receive the highest quality instruction and support available. Our students are superstars, working hard to continue to learn and grow. Through generous donations of much-needed materials, we can create lessons, vital to maintaining a high-quality learning environment. Although we aren't in the classroom, our students still need to engage in the curriculum through hands-on learning. During our online class, I'll use the conversation starter cubes to get the students engaged and communicating. Students are able to work alongside the teacher using whiteboard markers and math manipulatives to answer questions. Donors from DonorsChoose.org help to ensure outstanding instruction designed to foster and support each and every one of our students. Through these generous donations, we'll be able to provide online lessons in math, reading, and science. I'm especially excited about our unit on growing beans. Each student will be able to grow their own bean sprout, record data, and share and compare results with their classmates during our online class meetings.
