Having a set of graphing calculators in the classroom would benefit the students in many ways. It will engage students in learning, they love to use technology and complete hands-on activities. Students at our school have been at a disadvantage because not all students could utilize a graphing calculator during the SAT. Having the graphing calculators will help prepare students for the SAT and help them achieve higher scores on the actual SAT. There are many lessons in math that the graphing calculator can be utilized, through graphing functions, looking at tables of values, making scatter plots, and many more!
