When schools were closed many students went home without the necessary materials to really help distance learning be effective. Many of my students do not have means to access books with libraries closed and no internet to online books. These books were chosen as grade level appropriate and will be delivered to my students. The writing journals will provide a scaffold for my students to practice their work as well as a place to write within the notebook. Reading and writing are reciprocal in nature and both activities are important to maintaining growth students are making. My students will use the reading comprehension, sight word journals, and other materials every day. My students need more practice and opportunities to continue the growth we made until school closed.
