Various academic resources are important in supporting students in understanding curriculum and standards. First grade is a foundational year of learning when many important concepts are taught. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help me gather these resources. Academic resources like strategy posters, social emotional resources, and vocabulary posters are important parts of the classroom community that enable students to reference material in all subject areas when they need it. When students use resources around the room, they become more independent because they are recalling the concepts and skill that were previously taught. Students actively look at the information and apply it in the current learning situation they are in.
