This book is a fantastic adventure in storytelling, improvising, character development, vocabulary building and unexpected journeys! My ELD students and I, will read this book aloud together over the course of several class sessions. We will read slowly for maximum engagement and understanding. We will pause to create our own dialogue, stories and original adventures. I have used this text in the past to engage students and it never fails. For my ELD students this book is full of vocabulary that will help broaden their understanding of English and their own vocabulary.
