Every morning my students come together to read stories, express their concerns, tell stories, and prepare ourselves for the new day. The carpet is also used for minilessons and a comfortable place for students to express themselves. A carpet meeting area: provides a sense of trust. allows all students to feel important. encourages respectful learning. helps regulate emotions. boosts empathy and teamwork. After the coronavirus pandemic we are experiencing, I can't wait to be around my students and rebuild the sense of trust and community together. The carpet is one way for us to achieve this.

About my class
