Teaching elementary school children to love reading is not an easy task. Students come to us with very diverse home lives, life experiences, and interests, so trying to capture all of their attention when teaching Reading can be a serious challenge. Helping develop my students love of Reading is one of my biggest goals every school year. The best way to do this, is to teach from a variety of books to include books from different genres, authors, cultures, time periods, topics, etc... With your help in funding this classroom library, I will be able to use these books to not only foster my students' love of reading, but I will be able to make it fun by incorporating Writing and Art projects into the weekly lessons focused on each these books.

About my class
