My school is located in a rural town in Wisconsin. Many of my students don't have access to adequate internet during this safer at home act. I want to end our school year on a positive note by personally sending my students multiple books that are theirs to keep and read over the summer! A major goal at the end of 4th grade is a focus on student fluency and language development. These books will provide an avenue towards meeting this goal. They will be able to read aloud to a parent or guardian, a sibling, or even a pet! These books will particularly help my students who do not have the ability to visit the public library or adequate internet access. These books may be the only ones they get over the duration of the summer. I hope this can be a glimmer of hope as we end our school year in such an unconventional way!
