We have been talking about developing lessons using illustrations, videos, and original music compositions. My students think we should have an iPad in class to be able to access to the latest technology there is available so they can use it to be creative. They have done videos before and they have written songs and poems, What if we add a pleasant environment to present them. My plan is to use this resource in stages and in groups so everyone can have access to it. It would also help tremendously when explaining grammar to be able to project annotations in the smart board and share it to students devices in real time as class notes. The other use we are going to give this iPad is to take advantage of the super creative students I have. Some of them illustrate beautifully to help understand vocabulary. My idea is that for any student wanting to represent graphically vocabulary words, to be able do it using the great resources the iPad offers and to make an illustrations bank for other students to access them. As they will be digital pictures, collaborating students will see their own pictures featured in our handouts and interactive notebooks. It makes me feel really happy just imagining this happening.
