We are requesting STEM materials that will give my students a first-time-ever, hands on approach to innovative learning. By exposing students to STEM materials and projects, it will allow them to explore STEM-related concepts, develop a passion for it and hopefully find a niche for it in their future. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are all important elements in our everyday lives. In our school day, we only have a small time to integrate these lessons and activities in our reading and writing. Being able to have these materials will allow my students to be exposed and included in the learning that is just as important! I teach an after school STEM program for fourth and fifth graders and feel like it's time to bring it to my kindergarten students! Exposing them to these projects and activities will enhance their passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics in their everyday lives.
