These TPT gift cards will be used to purchase Martina Bex's Comprehensible Classroom distance learning curricula, levels 1 and 2. These resources are crafted by recognized leaders in communicative language teaching, and are specifically designed to replicate the dynamic and engaging experience of a Comprehensible Input (CI) language classroom in a virtual format. With this program, Level 1 students (6th and 7th grade) will build a knowledge base of communicative Spanish skills while Level 2 students (8th grade) will continue to hone their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills with the goal of increasing their proficiency to the Novice High/Intermediate Low level. The SOMOS CI curriculum is rigorous, challenging students to take chances and make mistakes in their learning process. However, it also builds incredible communication skills in Spanish using innovative and engaging teaching methods. Students will learn to read and analyze both fiction and non-fiction texts in Spanish, hone their written and spoken interpersonal skills, and ultimately develop a greater understanding of and appreciation for the peoples, cultures, and languages of the Hispanic world.
