Many of the students I work with have ADHD, and other diagnoses that contribute to their need to move in the classroom. Adding this desk will enable my students to utilize the flexible seating when they need it. Not only will it be a good option for them, but it will enable students to self-access their need, and when they need to use the stand-up desk. Being self-aware of their own needs is a life long skill they will utilize and generalize. This stand-up desk will employ my students to not be distracted by the need for movement in a standard classroom desk and chair, but focus on the content and skills we are learning.
