My students have created personal quilts for the past 2 years - it's the highlight of the year for students. Every student gets to tie-dye, cyanotype (or solar print) gel plate print, and salad spinner paint squares of muslin in their own style. The students will machine sew their quilt pieces together creating a small size quilt and matching pillow. Students are so proud of their quilts. Some choose to create hanging tabs to display their quilts, while others have said they will give theirs as baby gifts, and still others have said they will let their dog lay on the quilt on their beds.
