I danced professionally for 20 years. Then I became a special education teacher. These careers have much in common! Alternative thinking, creative problem-solving, outside-of-the-box strategies, and techniques combine together to bring about teaching to reach students with special needs of all kinds. My years of dancing, yoga practice and mindfulness studies merge and mesh with my special education training to influence and enhance my teaching and my collaborative work with my teaching partners. However, teaching is hard work. Through B4C, I will not only inspire my own work, but also support and encourage that of my colleagues!
