In the health classroom is where students will begin to learn about real world issues they will face. These issues include mental health, emotional health, good nutrition, personal health/hygiene, diseases, consumer health, the truth about alcohol, tobacco, and drugs, and loads more! With technology being at the core of how children are learning in this generation, we desire to utilize technology to teach about these topics that we know students will face. Although class discussions are an excellent way to teach children how to speak, how to share their opinions/feelings, how to socialize with etiquette, and how to analyze information verbally, it is not always the best way that students learn. Not to mention, we do not have all the time in the world to sit and discuss topics all day long. Access to technology will broaden the variety of lesson methods and will help disseminate curriculum more efficiently!
