Currently, I have to make copies or rewrite text for students to read in class. This project will help make sure that each student in class has a copy to read and analyze. Zinn writes about history in a way that young people can understand. Not only does the book cover the entire period of history for sixth grade, but it also helps students to see the relevance of learning history- the connections to the present. It is my goal to have ALL of my students see themselves represented in American History. Zinn's book is a crucial step toward reaching that goal.
