ASTEC scholars are an extremely diverse group of high schoolers from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. This is an inner-city school with a high amount of English language learners and a high poverty rate. They are exited about learning, respectful of materials and each other, and in need of an opportunity to grow and develop their creativity, self-expression, and fine arts competency.
