Many times the students have not had a good nights rest, yet they are anxious to read and often lay on the hard floor during class. We have been working on how this is socially unacceptable in many situations, however, this would normalize their habits within a certain area, in order to transition them to a traditional classroom setting. Also, it would create an inviting atmosphere for the students to learn in where they would not have to be exposed to the harsh reality of their every day life. I feel like this would increase their attendance, even if they are tired.

About my class
