These materials will allow me to create activities and resources for my students to use to enhance their communication skills during school-from-home. Many of my students do better with adapted books and visuals that are generally not available at your neighborhood stores. My students with autism and cognitive delays need visual schedules and communication pictures to help them be more successful at home. Other students need hard-copies of articulation and expressive and/or receptive language activities. All of these resources are needed to create these materials to keep them organized for parents. With these materials, my students who do not have access to technology will be able to continue to work on and develop their speech-language skills from home during these uncharted times. I have many wonderful parents who want to work with their children at home, but lack the resources to do so. These materials will allow me to meet the needs of my students on an individual basis and to provide their parents and families with the resources they need to help their students communicate more efficiently at home.
