Distance learning is a game-changer for many in our small Title I school. Our students are eager to learn, but have not experienced distance learning before. We have many students who have never traveled out of our state or county, and have no idea what other ethnicities have faced throughout history. I am determined to help our students understand the ill effects of racism, the connections of the history of racism to the actions of today, and come up with ideas and plans to combat the effects of racism in our society today. We cannot prevent events from the past from happening again unless we teach students to learn from the mistakes of our past. TeachersPayTeachers offers amazing Google based curriculum that can be utilized in Google Classroom. My students will be able to interact with the uploaded material and create their own solutions for interactive class projects.
