Reading is one of the most important skills our young learners work so hard to develop. It directly correlates with all other aspects of learning. Again, I am a first year teacher who is working to develop a classroom library that has something to spark a love for reading in every student. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students with their eyes glued to a book, lost in its content. Students also get a bulk of their reading instruction through guided reading. The leveled texts I am requesting will help me better accommodate student's particular learning needs! It's amazing what effective guided reading books and instruction can accomplish.
