Board games provide children with the opportunity to practice many active learning skills such as teamwork, turn-taking, sharing, and problem solving. Young children learn best through playful experiences with their peers. At the preschool level, hands-on and interactive tasks allow children to be an active participant in their learning. The variety of board games will offer options that teachers can choose from which they feel will interest their students and support extended social-emotional learning. Staff at Falcons Nest Preschool programs will be able to borrow board games that enhance their work with the social skills curriculum. They will have access to these games all year, allowing students the opportunity to continuously review skills and concepts.
