This book will help my struggling readers dive into reading while being able to relate to the main character through his life experiences. My main goal with this book is to try to find a book that students want to read and hopefully pick up the next book in the series. While reading the book, we will work on Literature Standards for the State of Tennessee. Students will analyze each chapter with identifying central idea, asking questions, theme, etc. At the end of the book, we will write a memoir using students' lives. This unit will last us 4 weeks.

About my class
