My students live in a small rural southern town in Alabama. Our school is a Title I school that has been hit hard by the current economic situation. There are no classroom funds available as in the past, and there are no funds to buy a class set of novels. The students have become avid readers with the help of the Accelerated Reader program. They enjoy book studies, but need class sets to have effective studies.
