Kindergartners love to share their learning with their classmates and their families at home. We will use this iPad to set up a recording station for students to reflect on their learning in Seesaw and Flipgrid. Seesaw is an instructional tool that acts as an electronic portfolio for students' learning. Kindergartners can take pictures and record videos to share their learning with an authentic audience. Teachers are able to provide lessons and activities through Seesaw that address curriculum. Kindergartners will not only be able to practice technology skills, but also practice their learning objectives in math, reading, science and social skills. Flipgrid allows students to create videos and share them with their classmates; speaking and listening skills are critical learning in kindergarten and giving students an authentic space to practice this will be so helpful to instruction. The best part of using these applications is that through technology, families at home are able to stay engaged and feel a part of students' learning at school.
