This DonorsChoose Project is to make calculators accessible to all students in my classroom. This class set of calculators request is for four sections of Algebra, this year we have not had calculators and have resorted to our scholars using their phones to do computations. This practice has created an inequitable environment as not all students have cell phones and cell phones cannot be used for standardized testing situations. Access to calculators for daily use can help my students become more technology literate as well as improve their practice in Algebra. The calculators will be used daily in my classroom as we continue to progress together.
