Headphones will help my students be able to drown out all noise unrelated to the topics they are researching. They will allow them to listen to a lesson presented by another teacher so that they can see word problems solved in more than one way. Not to mention, it is great for them to see that students in another classroom learn the same standards in other creative ways besides how I present it to them. We use small dry erase boards in my math class. The students love to use them. However, dry erase markers are not always easy for them to purchase because we live in a high poverty rate area. Fine point sharpies will make their projects look nicer and will also be fun for them to see how it brightens their in class math writings.
