Our classroom is currently made up of 12, heavy, wooden, boring rectangle tables. When you walk into an English language arts classroom, it should scream "creativity happens here!" This is what I would like to start in my classroom. While students are reading and writing, they need space to think. Adding two dry-erase tables to the classroom would help students to not rely on technology at all times and teach them to doodle their thoughts! The horseshoe table will be wonderful for reading intervention class in that students can sit close to me and I can see their thoughts on the table! The Scholastic reading magazine subscription is an added bonus. As an ELA teacher, we plan reading and writing. Students struggle to understand nonfiction and this magazine would help bring relevant topics to them to spark interest!
