This project will help my students with different life skills. It will aid them in caring for plants. It will also show them that they can grow their own food instead of going to a grocery store and buying. It will help them learn how to follow step-by-step instructions. It will help some of my students improve motor skills, social skills, and self confidence. It also will reduce stress and help my students with anxiety and frustration. Cultivating a good vegetable garden can be a very therapeutic activity. Gardens are full of different smells and textures. Each of my students will be paired with a Project Unified Buddy. They will observe, record, and measure each day of the germination period of each vegetable in our garden.
