Many of the books that I am requesting for this project were selected by my students. Throughout the year our class has immersed ourselves in different aspects of American history. My class has taken an in depth look at how America was built, and how the United States developed into what we know it to be today. Students have taken a special interest in Colonial America, the American Revolution, and the Civil Rights Movement. The books I am requesting will motivate my students to further investigate American History. I am excited to watch my students take ownership of their learning through these texts.
