The rectangular tables chosen for my project will make a great deal of difference for my students and their learning. The desks my students currently have now are constantly moving throughout the day. Furthermore, because of how small the desks are, supplies and materials are always falling off their desks. Due to this, my students are always moving the desks back, and the loud noise of desks moving interferes with not only their learning, but the learning of their classmates. The constant retrieval of getting necessary material off the floor is affecting learning, too. The rectangular tables will maximize learning in that they are stable and heavy enough not to move throughout the day. In addition, the rectangular tables will give them more surface area, as compared to the desks they have now. This will allow them more room to spread out their work and supplies.
