BOSS’D up is a development program for young black girls ages 14-18 that aims to provoke liberation from oppressive systems. We aim to provide young black girls with professional and personal support through sisterhood. We hope to create an environment where students can receive the necessary support, and encouragement by emphasizing key messages;(love, independence, advocacy). We are specifically targeting ages 14-16 because we want to work with youth in an age group where they are prone to falling subject to negative life choices and low self-esteem. Each young lady will be gifted with a book and a journal to continue their healing and learning journey.
