A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...students were forced to read boring novels that perhaps repelled them from ever picking up a book again! With my students receiving this set of novels, my hope is that they become immersed in one of the greatest sagas of all time. And not only that, though; I truly want for them to pick up another book, and another book. I want them to enjoy reading -- because knowledge is power, deep vocabulary is power, excellent writing skills is power -- all for the betterment of their future. I will apply state standards from this novel in a way that is interesting, articulate, and highly educational. And maybe, some will continue reading the vast literary works that stemmed from the genius of the film creator, George Lucas.
