As a new teacher, our class is in need of its own library. Third graders should be able to work together in book clubs to discover the themes in books and think critically about texts. I have selected books that students can read together in book clubs, challenge themselves to work through series of texts, and think about critically. Our curriculum is so incredible and requires the students to work in book clubs and spend time reading independently. My students are capable of so many things, and I would hate for my small library to discourage them from reading. With these books, I will be able to facilitate these book clubs and recommend strong texts for my students to read. Please help me bring in these amazing books to build strong and purposeful readers!
