If my project is fully funded, it will help my students access more flexible seating options! In all of my classroom experiences, I have noticed that when students are given options to control aspects of their environment, they often participate more and succeed at higher levels. Since I service students with such different ability levels, flexible seating would help me accommodate and modify for their individual and unique needs. When observing other classrooms that include flexible seating, I am always amazed by the students' ability to be controlled with their bodies while connecting more with their learning. When I implement more diverse seating, students often seem more engaged in the activities as they feel more relaxed in their seating arrangements.
