Who doesn't love getting a book read to them? My students love when I read them a picture book, and I love when the picture book teaches them valuable skills. My students would benefit from these books that cover kindness, how to be a friend, and most importantly, seeing themselves represented in the book. I only get one school year to be with these students but I'm hoping the lessons from these books will stay with them much longer. I want to make sure what I am teaching them goes beyond the curriculum and goes into parts of their life they will be able to use forever.

About my class
