During daily small group reading instruction, I differentiate by grouping students according to their reading levels. I model and read with the students the level "above" theirs to try and get them to the next reading level. I have a SHORTAGE of guided reading books levels A-E. I would be able to continue this small group instruction to grow my reading levels. There would be enough of these books to run a small group smoothly without having to share books. I also have a shortage of level C books that would be used for students during "read to self" time.
