These materials will help my low reading students to have materials that they are interested in reading. One of the common complaints I hear from students is that the books we read are boring or "for babies." I believe that giving students books and passages that they are interested in and want to read will help them build mastery and make progress towards meeting their IEP goals. All students deserve to have interesting materials to spark a love of reading. We are a small school and it is sometimes difficult to fit new materials into the budget. Our students have so many other needs that curriculum is not always the top priority. These materials will help our teachers build interesting lessons that will hook them and keep them engaged.
