My library will enable students to learn about science and social studies topics of their choice throughout the year and offer opportunities for students to use literature paired with hands-on activities for whole-child learning. Students will have availability to use STEM literature during our themed units throughout the year. Even if a subject is ELA-focused students can incorporate STEAM literature and subjects providing exposure to multi-text content. Students who have experiences with a diverse library will see and decode more words and improve reading over time. It is my goal to offer experiences with many subjects to my students and give them the opportunity to explore the world around them.
